2012 Nissan GT-R Facelift Or a New Spec M ?

Last year we saw the introduction of the limited-production GT-R SpecV model, a stripped down version of the already extreme Japanese supercar designed for hardcore club racers and performance nuts. These latest spy shots show the easily recognizable supercar testing at the Nurburgring race track in Germany and wearing a set of new bumpers.
So what could this model testing at the Nurburgring be? Well, chances are it’s the facelifted 2012 Nissan GT-R, which is due to be unveiled this October.
    Check out the pics below.

The Worst Car Modifications in the World ?

We all like to personalize our vehicles, a little mascot hanging from the rear view mirror, bumper sticker, perhaps a spray job, but some people just take the whole theme to an extreme, spending huge amounts of cash on turning regular cars into monstrous beasts on four wheels.
Any modifications made to your vehicle should be disclosed to your insurer – and whilst some modifications, such as the reduction of exhaust emissions, are positively welcomed, others, including cherry bomb exhausts, super wide wheels and body kits, are not. So before you go ahead and pimp your ride, check your policy and compare car insurance providers to ensure you get the best possible coverage.
Here’s the round up of some of the most bizarre modifications on the road i can find in the net :

Suped up

This is a classic example of trying to turn a relatively rubbish car into something it just isn’t i.e. cool.

Old Times Revisited

I stumbled upon a couple of old photos while I'm browsing through the computers. The pics below really takes me back when the R3gister Club is active. Nowadays, most of the owners that i know have already sell off their respective cars. This pictures was taken in the year 2007 if I'm not mistaken. This is when all of the R3gisterian Club members did a convoy to a Shell event and all of the participants were treated to a free lunch and bunch of goodies sponsored by Shell.Old times revisited

When It All Started....Part 2.

Well, this is a continuation from the previous topic that i wrote earlier. Obviously, when the GTi was stolen 2002, i was without a car for almost 2 years. Mostly i hitch a ride from friends and occasionally borrowed my mum's car. It was definitely a hard moment for me when i struggled a little bit trying to get around, hanging out with friends and going places. None the less, i still can managed it all with or without a car. I took busses ( which i rarely do ) to go from point "A" to point "B". It was rather an exciting experience for me ( Haha ).
Lets keep the long story short shall we. I think it was the moment i occasionally bring home a friend's car is when my dad decided it was time for me to get a car. I mean, i managed with mum's car after awhile, but then she's got her business of her own to be taken care of. I was excited at that time but...inside my head, what car will be next after the GTi?
I then decided to do a little bit of a research of my own, to find out what car was the best for me. I mean, in terms with the current financial status at that time, i could only afford a car that is below 90k. In which....the financial minister ( my dad ) will certainly be behind my arse all of the time. Among the options were, a Honda Civic EK 4, or the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 7. A Mitsu Evo 7 costs around 170-180k at that time ( Oh btw, this event occurs around the year 2004 ). So, my dad and I went for a little "car shopping".We browse through various places in KL looking for the cars.We ended up stumbling upon this shop, ( Ming Heng ) which is in located in Setapak. There's a couple of Mitsubishi Evo 7 up for sale. The first one that i've looked was a basic Evo 7, white in color and the other one is a full spec black Evo 7 which comes with a sunroof. The one that i mostly admired was the black colored Mitsu. The car was superb in condition, i mean what else would you want in a car.

We've test drive the Mitsu along with the salesman and my dad decided to take us to Genting Sempah via the Karak Highway.

It was an unforgetable moment when i for the first time drove the Mitsu. The acceleration was great, the handling of the car overall satisfy me. But being a sports car, it has hard suspension which my dad wasn't a great fan of. After a successful test drive, we went home and my dad told me that he will discuss this matter with my mum which i know what are the outcomes will be. As expected, he told me that i am not yet ready to get this car since I'm still studying. They are afraid that it will be effecting my overall performance in studying in the future. I respected the decision that my parents made although I feel a little bit heartbroken cause i didn't get the car. To be continued......

Star Cars - Where Are They Now

Did you ever wonder what happened to all those cars from famous films and TV series? As a kid, i was fascinated by em'. Sittin' in front of the tele like an enthusiastic kid would do in my early years. Now, i wonder what happened to all those batmobiles,  or where Mr.Bean ‘s car?

Batmobile
Sometimes upstaging their human counterparts, cars have starred in films since the very beginning of cinema history. And like actors some have gone on to a peaceful retirement while others have had their careers cut short as a result of fast living..

The Batmobile is one vehicle that has become as well known as its co-stars. Evolving from the comic through the various films and, as pictured here, the 1960s TV series.

When It All Started....

It was in my early college years when i got my first car.The year was 2001. Well, to tell you THE TRUTH.My dad is the one that decided on what car is the best for me. At that time, the car that i want the most was the Honda Civic Ferio Coupe EG9. Can u believe it? ( Influenced by the movie "Fast and Furious" at that time ) Remember the scene from the first Fast and Furious movie when Vin Diesel and his gangs are about to rob a truck full of goodies? I was mesmerized by the sound of the V-Tec and the Green Neons underneath the cars. Haha. But at that time, a Civic Ferio Coupe was hard to find in Malaysia. I decided to go for the four door version.

Well,on one fine Sunday morning my dad,mom and i decided it was the best time for us to go and "buy" me a car. I didn't have a single clue where they are taking me. After about 15 minutes drive, we arrived and it was at the Proton Center near Sungai Mas which is near Jinjang. I couldn't believe my luck when they've decided to buy me a brand new Proton Satria GTi. I was speechless, i never thought that they would buy me a GTi, not by a long shot. I'd always think about that Civic Ferio in my head and suddenly a GTi?? I mean, a Civic Ferio at that time costs around 40k 45k, a brand new Satria GTi costs about 73k. It never crossed my mind at that time since the GTi is more expensive than the Ferio. But what the heck, its the best gift my parents ever give me.
Proton Satria GTi
I drove it for about 6 month. I enjoyed driving the car. No modification done and she was simply a virgin. It all started when one night, due to the limited parking space available at my house,my dad parked the car outside of the house. I was sleeping in my bed room when suddenly my dad hears the alarm coming from the GTi. In a split second, just right when my dad is about to get off his bed,the car alarm went silent. When he got to the window, the car was gone, vanished into thin air. My dad scrambled to woke me up and i still can remember exactly what he said to me that night "Along, your car's gone". It was just like a dream, at that time i was a little bit "mamai". I couldn't believe that my car's gone. The next morning, my dad and i went to the police station to lodge a report about the stolen GTi. The police couldn't do a thing about it since the GTi is on the "Hot List" for car theives. I went home heart broken and as for the insurance claim,i waited for almost a year to obtain it. About the GTi, may she R.I.P. The registration number of the car was WKC 7959.

A Brief Introduction About Satria R3

The Proton Satria R3 is a limited edition, track-focused version of Proton's Satria hatchback made by R3 (Race Rally Research) or Proton Motorsports Division. It was born out of the success of R3's Satria Street Shoot Out (SSO) racing vehicle. R3 is an abbreviation of Race, Rally, Research. Only 150 units were ever produced. I currently own the #25 LEV Satria R3.
